Hey There,
The Holidays are pretty much here, and I’m so excited to say I am ready for the season. I thought it would be a great time to do a pregnancy update for you all.
Currently, I am a little more than halfway through the second trimester, but I will save that for another post. Here, we are going to talk about the first trimester.
The not so fun– I was really sleepy and had a constant lingering stomach ache for weeks. I remember thinking to myself when am I going to feel better! With that thought, I will say a few tears were shed.
Your New Guest– I think everyone can agree when you find out you are a host for what will be your new baby is really exciting. You get to think about what your life will look like. All the clothes you get to buy. Possibly finding out the gender. So many fun things go through your mind right when you get the positive test.
The First Appointment/ Sonogram- Prior to your first appointment really all you have is a positive test. Nothing more to show what’s really going on inside. Typically, you have your first appointment around 8 weeks. I had to wait until almost 9 weeks because my doctor was booked. That extra week was torture, but it was so worth it because I got to see the baby. It was really cool to see all the movement going on that I had no idea was happening.
The Prep– I love planning announcements and fun events for other people. Now, I get to plan out how we’re going to tell our families, how we’re going to tell our friends, and now we get to planing out a photoshoot was my favorite. I never really knew how big of a deal it was. Seeing the look on our loved one’s faces was completely priceless.
If you are expecting or looking to become pregnant I hope this quick rundown will show you how much more good happens apart from how sick you feel. Those of you in your first trimester, please know you will get through it and will be closer to holding your sweet baby soon.
