Can you believe that year is almost over? Where does the time go? Now it’s time to start thinking about our goals for the next year, I love forecasting for next and I’m excited about what next year will bring.
When I start planning my year I think about somethings to help me determine what my goals will be for the next year.
Determine what you want. Before you start making new years resolutions you firs have to know what you want. Who you want to be, think about the kind of life you want to live and figure out how to get there. Once you know that, you can figure out what changes you should make in your life.
Be thankful where you are. There is nothing wrong with making changes and finding ways to do things better, but be thankful for where you are now. Think back to where you were 5 or 10 years ago and see how far you have come. That deserves a round of applause i’m sure.
Work hard/ Play hard – you deserve it. Making changes is really hared work. As hard as you work don’t forget to play just as hard. When I started my debt free journey, I remember the advice I was given, “it’s okay to buy a pair of shoes.” Which is true, you work so hard to get where you want to be reward yourself every once a while (as long as it’s in budget lol).
Stay humble. Now that you are on you way to becoming the person you always intended to be, remember this is your journey, not everyone is going to understand or even care. Be kind to the naysaers, and remember why you are making these changes.
