1. Go to the mountains and see the fall foliage.
This has actually been on my list of things to do for years. Every year it seems like I miss the chance. There are only a few weeks when this beautiful site comes around each year. This year I am going to try to plan it out as best as I can. Living in near DC, I live fairly close to the mountains and because I am so obsessed with seeing this amazing site one day I found a gauge that tell how much the leaves have change to date. If you live in the area you can find it here. If you are really just looking to kill time there are trails to see the foliage.
2. Go to a pumpkin patch.
The only time I ever remember going to a pumpkin patch was when I was knee high to a grasshopper (yep I said that!). So I think it would be a fun day to go pumpkin picking, and I would use the picked pumpkins to decorate my home.
3. Decorate my home with fall decorations.
Every year because Fall is so short (and because I am depressed summer is over) I always forget to decorate my house for the fall. While looking around on pinterest, I came across this super cute decoration for my front porch. I would need to modify it slightly but I think this really needs to be done to my house!
This has been a task in itself! The only thing stopping me from walking across that stage, doing a few backflips is to finish my thesis. Come to think of it, as soon as I am done with the post and I will be working it! Yes.. in five minutes. Well maybe after I clean my room. Shoot, I need to go grocery shopping right after I walk the dog! Just kidding! 😉
How cute are these cake toppers!
I am not to fond of the cold months, but this year I am going to try to enjoy it to the best of my abilities. As long as there is no snow or cold weather.
